Education & Practice Commission
To establish a more formal link and format for increased dialogue
between the UWM School of Architecture &
Urban Planning and the profession by providing for discussion with the Dean
on School-related issues and programs in conjunction with regularly scheduled
meetings of the AIA Wisconsin Board of Directors.
To increase communication and interaction among Associate AIA
members, other interns, Architect members, architecture students and faculty and
to encourage increased participation in AIA programs by Associate members and
interns.
To develop and coordinate a structured educational program to
assist interns in preparing for the Architects Registration Exam (ARE).

To continue to educate interns and practitioners about
the Intern Development Program (IDP) and its requirement to become a
registered architect in Wisconsin.
A group of young architects who gather locally: to discuss common
goals, problems, experiences and thoughts about their careers, the profession
and design; to encourage professional growth and leadership development through
interaction and collaboration within the AIA and allied professions; and to build
a state, regional and national network and collective voice for young architects.
